THE CULTURAL PROJECT FOR GENOA
The ASSOCIAZIONE AMICI DI PAGANINI presents a series of proposals to
emphasise the significance of CASA PAGANINI in the cultural and musical fabric
of the city of Genoa and the Liguria Region.
These proposals are added to and integrated with the University project InfoMusLab
and develop themselves on different levels:
- To realise a properly qualified Centre of Studies on Paganini, at which
to collect and electronically file the works, music, and writings of Paganini
and other important Liguria musicians; to encourage research and studies on
Paganini’s works and to function as a point of reference for Paganini’s
music.
- To develop a musical programme of high quality by means of concerts for
the general public – particularly featuring Liguria musicians -, performances
of concerts and opera in the same style (from baroque to electronic) or of
the same period (from the Middle Ages to the ultra-modern).
- To promote educational and formative activities for pupils of all schools
either by means of concerts and discussions – already successfully tested
in the last five years -, or by following new proposals on the study of various
musical instruments, including the human voice.
- To propose CASA PAGANINI as part of a cultural and tourist programme to
enhance the Castello area of Genoa, which offers significant sites and places
of interest, such as Santa Maria di Castello, the Museum of Sant’Agostino
and, of course, CASA PAGANINI with not only architectural and archaeological
interest, but also entertainments connected to the great Genoese violinist.
